Artifact Scuplture in the Master Bedroom

I took these photos in the Master Bedroom of the house.  I love this room and how serene it always feels.   I will definitely make a series of photos of it and post them one day.

The sculpture was made for a local juried art show.  The theme was Saving the Earth and the entries had to be made of materials you had on hand.  I used scrap lumber, gold leaf (left over from making a painting frame) and paint found in the garage to construct the piece.  I have always been fascinated with ancient artifacts and this was my take on a modern one.

The black and white photos are part of Richard and Bob's collection.

The sweet dog is Louie.
