Found Treasures for the House
All three of us enjoy shopping on-line and in the local antique and thrift shops for treasures for the house. Although it is always exciting to spot that perfect something, it often seems that the hunt itself gives us the most pleasure.
A wood antique box and deer sculpture sit on top of a vintage trunk made by The Innovation Trunk Company. The inside of the trunk is fitted out with drawers and a clothes hanging area. It works great as a table in the TV area of the Great Room.
A grouping of recently found silver sits on the kitchen counter. The vintage meat dome with tray was probably used to serve tenderloins. To it's right sits an antique humidor. The detail on this monogrammed piece is beautiful. The small bowl is engraved with 'Social Chairman'.
Then, there is the obligatory pet photo. There are 8 animals here in the house and I will slowly post photos of them all. All at once is a bit overwhelming, on-line and in person. This is Vincent and we found him in the parking lot of the gym. He is by far our best find yet!
